Tarangire is known for elephants, baobab woodland and the Tarangire River. During the drier months, wildlife gathers around permanent water and the park can be one of the strongest opening chapters of a northern circuit safari.
Why stay longer
A second day gives time to explore beyond the busiest northern area and can make room for a quieter lodge, walking experience or night-drive option outside the park.
